A. C. Arrington Funeral Services In Brookhaven

Local relatives and friends of Mrs. A. C. Arrington of Brookhaven, the former Miss Fencile Richardson of this city, are extending sympathy to her in the tragic death of her husband Sunday in the crash of his private plane in Wilkinson County.

Mr. Arrington, with a companion, E. L. Upton, also of Brookhaven, had been on a fishing trip to Lake Mark and crashed apparently in a rainstorm shortly before noon Sunday after having left the Lake Mary landing strip to return to Brookhaven. The wreckage of the light plane and bodies of the men were found Monday afternoon from a Civil Air Patrol plane.

Mr. Arrington, owner of a Brookhaven machine shop, was a graduate of Georgia Tech and served as a colonel during World War II. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held for Mr. Arrington at four o'clock Tuesday from the First Baptist Church in Brookhaven with the Rev. John W. Moore officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ed Griffin. Interment was in Brookhaven.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Clark and Luke Arrington, two daughters, Vicki and Ursula Arrington, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucious Arrington, all of Brookhaven; three sisters, Mrs. Cooper Walton and Mrs. James Van Landingham of Jackson and Mrs. Philip Santmyer of St. Louis.
