A. R. (Skeeter) McDANIEL

A. R. (Skeeter) McDaniel, 63, resident of 719 Beacon st., died Saturday night at his home after a lenghy [sic lengthy] illness.

A carpenter by trade, he was born in Covington county but had lived in Laurel 47 years. He was a member of the Temple Baptist church.

Funeral services were held Monday, 3 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Revs. B. H. Stringer, Grover Laird, and Alton Megg officiating.

Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Moore McDaniel, Laurel; one daughter, Mrs. Kelley Smith, Mobile, Ala.; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Olen Knight, Mrs. Will Johnson, Laurel; Mrs. Ray McKinney, Port Morris, New Jersey; one foster brother, W. J. McDaniel, Ellisville.

Pallbearers were Tilson Smith, Therlo Smith, Jim Luckey, Charlie Baker, Mr. Jefcoats and Arnold Robinson.

Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
