Funeral Here Tomorrow For A. A. Hammons

Mr. A. A. Hammons, 101 Edgewood, a retired mail carrier, died at his residence today at 1:15 a.m. following a lengthy illness. A native of Dodson and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hammons was 88 years old.

Rev. A. H. Johnson, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, will conduct the funeral services tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel church. Deacons of the church will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Hammons is survived by his wife, Mrs. A. A. Hammons of Ruston; one daughter, Mrs. S. F. Dunn of Columbia; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
