CORONER'S JURY IS INVESTIGATING CASE

The coroner's jury resumed its investigation this afternoon at 3 o'clock into the death of Miss Ada Austin, the young woman who died Wednesday night at the Iron Mountain Rooming House. The cause of the death of the young woman has been definitely determined as being blood poison brought on by an abortion thought to have bee[n] caused by a criminal operation. The further investigation today is being held in an effort to locate the man who is said to have brought the young woman to Monroe and who it is said is a prominent man with a large family living in an adjoining parish. It is stated he was seen with the girl in Monroe several times. The coroner's jury is composed of representative citizens and if a crime was committed and the guilty person located arrest will follow. Two Monroe physicians were called to attend the young woman at the rooming house, but she was then in a critical condition. If a criminal operation was perfomred it was done before the girl was brought to Monroe.
