MRS. ADA P. CARROLL

Mrs. Ada P. Carroll, 81, life long resident of Jones County died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was a member of Tiger Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. from Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Revs. Buddy Pitts, Clyde Kelly and H. L. Deer will officiate.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Carroll, Mrs. J. C. Byrd, both of Route 1, Laurel; Mrs. Leeola Smith, Laurel; Mrs. Cranford Jordan, Ellisville; Mrs. James A. Hill, Route 1, Soso; two sons, Leonard Rogers, Harrison Rogers, both of Route 1, Laurel; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Turner, Laurel; Mrs. Fannie Adams, Ovett; three step-daughters, Mrs. Linnie Kitchens, Hattiesburg; Mrs. Clara Bell Keel, Lucedale; Mrs. M. L. Travis, Chicago, Ill.; four step-sons, James H. Carroll, Quennie Carroll, both of Laurel; Taylor Carroll, and Bill Carroll, both of Moline, Ill.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Ott Pitts, Hall Pitts, John Byrd, James Byrd, Bruce Merritt and Larry Walker.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
