MRS. C. L. EMMONS

Funeral services for Mrs. C. L. Emmons, 77, of near Grayson, who died Wednesday afternoon were held the following day at 2:30 p.m. at the family residence, with the Rev. M. Granger of West Monroe in charge.

Interment was held at the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks under the direction of the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors are three sons, Marshal of Clarks; Clyde Emmons of near Grayson; Mecom Emmons of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. William Oxner of near Grayson and Mrs. Tom M. Coody, of Clarks; also four brothers, Lee Volentine of Chicashaw, Okla.; Wayne Volentine of Grayson; W. P. Volentine of Houston, Texas, and L. B. Volentine of Rayville; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Ferguson of Winnsboro, Mrs. Joe Wiles of Cross Roads, Mrs. J. B. Stamper of Cross Roads, and Mrs. H. C. Monroe of West Monroe.

Carrying the pall were O. B. Crain, Frank McGuire, R. W. Tarver, R. E. Busch and Dyke Stringer.

Mrs. Emmons resided at Clarks for many years and about two years ago moved to a new location between Clarks and Midway. She has many friends in the vicinity of Clarks and Grayson who regret to hear of her death.
