Agnes Inez Erskine Whatley

Age 87, of Little Rock and formerly of El Dorado AR, died Monday at St Vincent's Arkansas Hospice, following a short illness; born in McGehee, daughter of Allen Bernard Erskine and Bertha Jane Willis; a homemaker, she also worked during World War II at an aircraft plant in Long Beach CA; worked as a bookkeeper for Timmins Hardward before retiring; a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia W. Erskine, and her husband of 54 years, Roy O. Whatley.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Earl Whatley and his wife, Judy, of El Dorado and Stephens; sisters, E. Iona Slankard of El Dorado, Marge E. Murphy of Auburn, Ill., Blondell Kearns of Farmington, Mo., Bobbie J. Hesterly and Otho of Little Rock, Betty Ann Clark and Bill of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers, Allen B. Erskine and Betty Jo of Texarkana, and James E. Erskine and Barbara of Bentonville; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
