Agnes Smith

Agnes Robertson Smith, age 90, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Sunday morning at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Her passing was peaceful in the presence of her children and her grandchildren.

Agnes was a former long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Alexandria, La. and prior to that of Kitchens Creek Baptist Church of Ball. She graduated from Bolton High School and attended Louisiana College and Louisiana State University of Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley C. Smith, and three brothers, Lee Robertson, Bruce Robertson, and Norvell (Tim) Robertson.

Survivors include one son, Conley Paul Smith of Denver, Colorado and four daughters, Nancy Smith Springer of Lafayette, La., Martha Smith Holloway, Betty Smith Miller, and Cherry Smith, all of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Shannon Marshall of Boise, Idaho, Matthew Smith, Andrew James Smith and Tyler Smith, all of Denver, Cydney Rosener of Longmont, Colorado, Tammy Lyons of Lafayette, Kelly Lewis of Seaside, Calif., Tracy Pressler of Missoula, Montana, Paul Holloway of Nederland, Colorado, Julie Holloway of Charlotte, North Carolina, Michelle Lisano of Santee, California, Melissa Rogan of Etiwanda, California, and Rob Miller, III of Lakewood, Colorado. Also Agnes is survived by 15 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Marshall of Boise, Idaho, Sarah Randolph of Longmont, Colorado, Austin and Andrew Taylor Smith of Lafayette, Avery and Andrew Lewis and Rylan Mount of Seaside, California, Tanner and Trevor Pressler of Missoula, Montana, Amanda, Evan and Ryan Lisano of Santee, California, Christopher James and Savannah Rogan of Etiwanda, California.

Pallbearers will be Matt Smith, Andrew James Smith, Tyler Smith, Rob Miller, Austin Smith, and Andrew Taylor Smith.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville, La. Rev. Lee Weems of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.

Graveside services will immediately follow at Kitchens Creek Cemetery on the Monroe Highway just North of Ball, La.

Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, or before the service on Thursday.
