AGNES OCTAVIA HINTON

MISSION -- Agnes Octavia Hinton, 93, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Octavia was born in Macon, Mississippi, to Ben W. and Minnie V. Kirby. She graduated from Delta State Teachers College in 1931 and was an elementary teacher for more than 30 years, teaching 20 years in Texas.

Octavia was a devoted wife to her husband, Junior Craven Hinton, until his death in 1982; a loving mother to her only son, Stan; and a good friend to her many close friends.

Visitation for Octavia will be from 12 to 8 p.m., with Stan to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., today, Aug. 3, 2004, at Kreidler Funeral Home Inc., on N. 10th St. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at First Presbyterian Church, 1102 Ash, Mission, Texas, 78572. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
