Albert B. Majors dies; rites pending

Albert Burton Majors, 66, died Tuesday at 9:10 p.m. at his home, 301 SW 2nd Street, following a three-year illness. The body is at Baum-Carlock Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Majors, who had been a resident of Mineral Wells for 38 years, was born January 13, 1893 in Parker County. He and the former Icie Elders were married in Parker County January 1, 1916, and she survives him. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Surviving besides Mrs. Majors are five daughters, Mrs. Virgil Cox and Mrs. Donald Holmes, both of Mineral Wells, Mrs. Grady Breland of Fort Worth, Mrs. Jimmy Hill of White Settlement, and Mrs. Henry Bataline of Wickliffe, Ohio; two sons, Albert Majors of Fort Worth, and Lester M. Majors of Abilene; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and one brother, Burl Majors of Fort Worth, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Scott, Mrs. Frances Palmer, and Mrs. Jewel Arterburn, all of Mineral Wells.
