Rev. A. A. Camp Is Buried Near Calvin
Rev. Camp Died at Shreveport Sanitarium Tuesday After an Operation
Funeral services for the Rev. A. A. Camp, 65 years, of the Calvin Community, who died at a Shreveport Sanitarium Tuesday, were held Thursday afternoon at the Bethlehem Cemetery, 3 miles from Calvin. Rev. Camp was a prominent farmer of Ward Eight and had been pastor of the Church of God for several years. He succumbed after an operation for gallstone. He was well known in Winnfield and surrounding territory.
Surviving the deceased is the widow, three sons; Ivey, of Texas and Albert and Chester of Calvin; and eight daughters; Mrs. Pearl Johns, Mrs. J.W. Brunson. Jr., Mrs. Ethel Gaar, Gladys and Nettie of Calvin, Mrs. Charlie Peyroux [sic Perow] of Winnfield, Mrs. Emmons [sic Emerson] of Goldonna; and one whose name could not be learned.
