Albert D. Ford

Albert Dalton “Dinks” Ford, 76, of Rte. 1, Bossier City, died about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Boone Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Jordan, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Ford was a native of Converse and had lived in Bossier City for nine years. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was reticed [sic retired] from the Continental Oil Co.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Izola Lewis Ford; one son, Alyus [sic Olyus] L. Ford of Irving, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Colleen Kerr of Bossier City; three brothers, Walter Ford of Win[n]sboro, Tex., Joe Ford of Petersburg, Ind., and Hershell Ford of Pineland, Tex.; four sisters, Maudie Lewis of Shreveport, Bessie Napier of Converse, Betty Reimers of Waskom, Tex., and Dovie Roberts of Arrey, N.M.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
