Albert Floyd Ainsworth Sr.

Magee - Albert Floyd Ainsworth Sr., 91, a farmer, died of heart failure Sunday, May 20, 2001, at home. Services are 2 p.m. today at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home with burial in Merchant Cemetery in Raleigh.

Mr. Ainsworth was an avid hunter and loved nature. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic; always being sure that his crops were free of grass and weeds and that his cattle were properly fed and cared for. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He loved to sing and during most of his work one could hear him humming or singing one of his favorite hymns. At night when his children and grandchildren were young, he enjoyed reading stories to them and helping them memorize nursery rhymes.

He leaves behind for his children many fond memories.

Ainsworth, both of White Oak daughters, Eva Mozingo of Waynesboro, Sallie Simmons of Columbus and Julia Ainsworth of White Oak' sisters, Minnie Patterson and Gladys Martin, both of Magee and Ruby Gay Dukes of Raleigh; and seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
