Mr. Albert Joseph “Joe” Carlisle, Sr.
SHREVEPORT - Services for Mr. Albert Joseph “Joe” Carlisle, Sr., 78, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 2, 1989 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bishop Brent Merril with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Carlisle died Wednesday, May 31, 1989 at 10:32 a.m. at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Mansfield and had been a resident of Shreveport most of his life. Mr. Carlisle was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Retired Commercial Construction worker for 50 years, member of Carpenters and Millwrights Local #764.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Carlisle of Shreveport; two sons, Vernon Carlisle and Albert Carlisle, Jr. both of Shreveport; two daughters, Nelda Jowers of Shreveport and Ellen Leavitt of Twin Falls, Idaho; one sister, Eunice Carlisle of Alexandria, La; three brothers, Sam Carlisle of Shreveport, Roy Carlisle of Baton Rouge, La and Dempsey Carlisle, Jr. of Albany, La.; 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Moncla, Homer Bryant, Jay Knighten, Charles Carlisle, Larry Beasley and Harold Beasley.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
