Albert Ray McGinty

ALBERT R. (AL) McGINTY, 84, died on November 14, 2010. He was born in Shreveport, LA. and graduated from Bossier High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, aboard USS Grumium in the Pacific. He was a dispatcher for Southern Pacific and retired from Rohm & Haas Chemical Co. as a Traffic Supervisor. Body Recall & Water Fitness Teacher; 153 Gal Blood Donor; Life Time member Texas HaasBeens & HouTrsp Club. Past president of Delta Nu Alfa San Jacinto & St. Giles Primetimers.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eben & Julia McGinty; sister, Mary Alice Green Heskett; grandson, Matthew Alan Masden.
He is survived by his wife Eva; children & spouses, Donald & Pam McGinty, Julia & David Swinford, Susan Parker, Linda Osborne, Timothy & Ione McGinty; brother, Bob and Ouida McGinty along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church, 7575 Alden Bridge Dr., The Woodlands, TX. 77382. Interment will be at 2:30 PM, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
