Sherman Poole

GRAYSON -- Funeral services for Sherman Poole, 60, of Grayson were to be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. E. D. Dearman and the Rev. Kenneth Crumbley officiating.

Burial was to be in Spring Ridge Cemetery near Aimwell.

He died Tuesday morning in Hardtner Medical Center at Urania after a brief illness.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Poole was a contractor and a native of Catahoula Parish.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Roverta [sic Roberta] Poole of Grayson; two daughters, Miss Dorothy Poole and Miss Carol Poole, both of Shreveport; one stepson, Allen Wilson of Olla; one brother, Glover C. Poole of Monroe; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Louis Holmes, Alfred Holmes, Earl Adams, Cleveland Poole, Howard Ford and Lavaughn Tarver.
