COLUMBIA -- Services for Alfred F. Starnes will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Riser & Son with Dr. W.M. Causey Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery, Kelly.
Starnes, 98, of Columbia died Friday in Citizens Medical Center.
He was a farmer and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Starnes of Saraland, Ala., and Gene Starnes of Kelly; two daughters, Mae Starnes Campbell of Columbia and Dollie Starnes Segendre of Westwego; two brothers, Clay Starnes of Grayson and Clayton Starnes of Sikes; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Charles Thompson, Archie Darden, Jarvis Tarver, James Perot, Ray Hatten and Lynn Perot.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Sunday in the funeral home.
