Alfred Crain, 61, Buried May 23 At Sikes Cemetery

Funeral services for Alfred Crain, 61, who died at his home in Bastrop of a heart attack Monday night, were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Sikes Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Holland of Bastrop and Mr. W. S. Emmons of Sikes officiating. Burial was in the Sikes Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were D. W. Holly, V. C. Holly, Marlon Robertson, Charley Wells, Jerry Sanders, and Murrell Sanders.

A native of Sikes, Mr. Crain had been residing in Bastrop for the past several years.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Sammy of Bastrop; Donald of Sikes; one daughter, Mrs. Janet [sic Jeanette] Gill of Georgia; father, A. J. Crain, Sikes; one sister, Mrs. Etta Abrams Walker, of Sikes; and six grandchildren.
