Alfred I. Meredith

Services for Alfred I. “Bud” Meredith will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with the Rev. David Boothe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville.

Meredith, 80, of 35 Louisiana Ave. died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

He was a native of Winn Parish and a retired machinist for Missouri-Pacific Railroad. Meredith was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Butler Meredith of Alexandria; one son, John E. Meredith of New Orleans; three brothers, Guy C. Meredith of Colfax, Samuel B. Meredith of Vidor, Texas, and Clarence Meredith of Grayson; one sister, Ruby Mae Johnson of Sikes; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call until time of services today in the funeral home.
