MRS. ALICE BROWN EMMONS
El Dorado, Ark., Sept. 11 (Special). Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m. at the first Methodist church at Norphlet for Mrs. Alice Brown Emmons, 68, former Louisiana resident, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Langley of Norphlet. The Rev. A. E. Jacobs, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. W. L. Arnold of Smackover. Burial was in Salem cemetery, near Smackover.
Mrs. Emmons was born in Winn parish, La., in 1880, and came to Union county, Ark., in 1932. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Greenlee, Houston, Texas; Mrs. C. R. Miller, Shreveport, La.; and Mrs. Langley; two sons, R. H. Emmons, Abbeville, La., and T/Sgt. L. E. Emmons, U. S. army, Fort Knox, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
