Alice Carol Gaar
Alice Carol Gaar, 77, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Alice loved reading, traveling and painting, She had a huge love for animals and the beauty of nature. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi sorority. Miss Gaar retired from Florida State University as a librarian.
She received her bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, her master's from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. She is survived by various cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leon County Humane Society, Echo Outreach Ministries or the Tallahassee Museum.
