Last Rites For Mrs. Alice Irene Whittington

Mrs. Alice Irene Whittington, 78, a resident of Southwest Extended Care Center, died Tuesday, July 16 there.

Services were held July 18 in Magnolia Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Carl Coker officiated, and burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.

Born Feb. 17, 1907 in Amite County, Mrs. Whittington was the daughter of Albert D. and Eunice Stokes Foreman. A housewife and member of Magnolia Presbyterian Church, she was the widow of Raiford N. Whittington.

Survivors include five brothers, Audrey V. Foreman of Magnolia, John Hays Foreman of Poplarville, Doyle Foreman of Pasadena, Texas, Douglas Foreman of Irving, Texas and James Jagers Foreman of Asheville, N.C.; five sisters, Lorene Eunice Sullivan of Fayette, Annie Freeman of Natchez, Rosa May Nix of Oak Grove, La., Dell Runyan of Marion, Ky. and Edith K. Nolan of Poplarville; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother Engel Rob Foreman.
