Last Rites Are Held For Mrs. J. W. Sikes Saturday

Services Were Conducted At the Fellowship Baptist Church

Death claimed Mrs. J. W. Sikes, 61 years of age, at her home in Sikes Friday, August 26, following a long illness. Funeral services were conducted at the Fellowship Baptist Church of which deceased was a member, Saturday, with Rev. Grayson Emmons officiating. Interment was in the Fellowship Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne, Clarence, Victor, and Ishmael Prince, Homer Parker, and Clyde Parker.

Mrs. Sikes was born and reared in the Sikes Community. Before her marriage she was Miss Alice Prince, both the Sikes and Prince families being well known in this parish.

Surviving are her husband and seven sons and daughters, A. L. Sikes, Winnfield; Troy Sikes, Shreveport; Mrs. J. D. Simon, Mrs. Troy Adams, Tressie Sikes, and Grady Sikes of Sikes, La.; and Mrs. Tommie Chaddick, Camden, Ark. One brother, W. L. Prince, sixteen grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends also survive.
