Allen Emmons

COLUMBIA (Special) -- Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today for Allen Emmons, 80, of LaPlace, who died Sunday in New Orleans* after a short illness.

The Rev. E. D. Dearman officiated at services at Riser and Son Funeral Home and burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery at Olla.

Mr. Emmons was a resident of Caldwell Parish for several years.

He is survived by four sons, Allen Emmons Jr., of St. Rose, Frank Emmons of Grayson, J. W. Emmons of Westwego and Ray Emmons of Wilmington, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Nelson of Little Creek and Mrs. Mildred Roylance of Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Brimer of Pollock and Mrs. Orler [sic Arler] Gore of Tioga; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
