Alma C. Hamilton

Alma C. Hamilton, 69, a long time Laurel resident, died Thursday, Dec. 25, in Irmo, S.C.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Crest View Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Sam Husser will officiate.

She was a Baptist and had been active in both Houston Road Baptist Church and Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude (Jim) Hamilton, Jr.; a son, James Claude Hamilton, III; a brother, Alex Case; and two sisters, Helen Louise Ryan and Velma Case; and her parents, Henry Lee Case and Viola Williams Case.

She is survived by a son, Robert Lee (Bobby) Hamilton and his wife, Pam of Irmo, S.C.; one brother, Lloyd Case and wife Eleanor of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Amy Hamilton, Wesley Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton, Jeremy Hamilton and Kyle Harvison.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and continue until service time at Colonial Chapel.
