Graveside services for Alma Dark Simon, 94, of Winnsboro, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 22, at Ogden Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating.
Interment was under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
A native of Winn Parish, she was born March 1, 1893. She was a housewife. She died on Feb. 19, 1988, following a brief illness.
Survivors include one son, Marion Simon, Shreveport; five daughters, Katie Warwick, Sun City, Ariz., Bonnie Thompson, Colorado Springs, Colo., Doris Guzman, Tallahassee, Fla., Garland Kemper, Highland, Calif., and Geraldine McGiffin, Flagstaff, Ariz.; one brother, P. L. Dark, Liddieville; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Ferguson, Ferriday, Mrs. Audie McKnight, California, Mrs. Bobbie McGraw, Shreveport; 16 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
