Alma Gertrude Parker
(March 2, 1917 - November 26, 2004)

Mrs. Alma Gertrude (Willis) Parker, age 87, of Sikes, La., passed away Friday, November 26, 2004, at Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Winnfield, La. She was a faithful member of the Sikes Apostolic Church.

She was the daughter of the late William Willis and the late Mary Emmaline (Brister) Willis.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister to: one daughter, Cheryl A. Pepper and her husband Garland of Sikes, La.; four sons, Carl B. Parker of Sikes, La. Jerry Wayne Parker and his wife Veronica of Vancouver, Wash. Travis Raymond Parker and his wife Carol of Mobile, Ala. John David Parker of Sikes, La.; four sisters, Oleta Campanelli of Springfield, Mo. Janelle Beardsley of Rushford, N.Y. Mary McCartney of Hattiesburg, Miss. Gloria Jean Burman of Boise, Idaho; four brothers, Lloyd Willis of Tennessee Relton Willis of Monroe, La. Bennie Willis of Shreveport, La. Lennie Willis of Bossier City, La.; sixteen grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren, [and] one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvie Parker; her son, Jimmy Parker; her daughter Jeannie Burrows; and her brother, Raymond Willis

Services are under the direction Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2004. Friends may visit with the family at the Sikes Apostolic Church from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM Monday, November 29, 2004. Funeral services will be at Sikes Apostolic Church at 10:30 AM Monday, November 29, 2004 , with Rev. Gary M. Parker officiating. Interment will be at Hurricane Grove Cemetery in Sikes, La.
