A. H. Watson, 78, a Decherd, Tenn., grocer for many years, died at 7:20 o'clock last night at St. Thomas hospital following a five-day illness.
Mr. Watson was born in Lewisburg, Tenn., and had spent most of his life at Decherd where he operated a restaurant and grocery.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bettie Watson; three daughters, Mrs. George Childs of Glencoe, Ill., Mrs. W. R. Waxler of Paxton, Ill., and Mrs. Jessie Bauer of Albuquerque, N. M.; and two sons, A. L. Watson and W. J. Watson, both of Akron, Ohio.
The body was sent last night to Moore's Funeral home at Winchester, Tenn. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
