Alson M. Jeter
WINNFIELD -- Services for the Rev. Alson M. Jeter will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern with the Revs. Charles Haley, Eugene Love and Dick Enterkin officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Jeter, 88, of Winnfield died Wednesday, May 31, 1995, in Winn Parish Medical Center.
He was retired from the Carey Salt Mine and a minister for 35 years. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia B. Jeter of Winnfield; one son, Bobby J. Jeter of Alexandria; one daughter, Maurine J. Herlevic of Monroe; one sister, Ruth Thames of Columbia; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Jeter, Doug Jeter, Rick Herlevic, Marty Herlevic, Thomas Scurria and Dirk Leopard.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
