ALSON WARREN

Alson Warren, 69, resident of 1318 West 7th St., died Friday afternoon in a local hospital after a long illness. He had been a resident of Laurel 36 years and was a carpenter contractor.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. R. G. Holland, Joe Harris, P. M. Cochran and W. E. Hellen officiating. Burial will be [in] Spring Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alson Warren, Laurel; one daughter, Mrs. B. H. Warren, Route 7, Laurel; one son, Bernell Warren, Laurel; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Aris Reed, Mrs. Eugene Wood, Route 6; Mrs. Will Drennan, Laurel, Route 3; Mrs. Paul Ball, Leakesville; five brothers, J. E. Warren, Otis Warren, Dewey Warren, Laurel; D. L. Warren, Moselle; Woodrow Warren, Petal.

Pallbearers will be Hilman Walters, Kimble Clark, Jack Matthews, G. S. Martin, Jr., Wayne Valentine, Eddie Hocks. Deacons of Spring Hill Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The body remains at Thompson Funeral Home.
