Alta Janie Womack

Funeral servcies for Alta Janie Womack, 83, of Winnsboro, were held on Sunday, May 29, in the Fort Necessity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Brown and the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

A native of Jackson Parish, she was a member of Fort Necessity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Womack. She died on May 28, 1988, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include two daughters, Letha Jemerson, Fort Necessity and Laverne Parks, Winnsboro; one son, Roy R. Womack, Edgewood, Fla.; one brother, M. L. Watts, Gilbert; two grandchildren, Michael Shane Parks and Mrs. Lee Parks Ainsworth, both of Winnsboro; and two great-grandsons.

Pallbearers were Rickey Womack, Marvin Womack, Carl Watts, Raymond Parks, Robert Morse and James Taylor.
