Alton McNaughton
OLLA - Services for Alton McNaughton will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Shady Grove Baptist Church, west of Olla, with the Revs. Allen Hatten and Jessie Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Old Hebron Cemetery near Sikes, under direction of Riser, Olla.
McNaughton, 68, of Olla died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
He was a native of Winn Parish. He was a field service representative with Excel Saw & Tool Co. of Jackson, Miss., and a retired supervisor with La. Pacific Corp. in Urania. He served as president of the LaSalle Dixie Youth Baseball program.
He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Ray McNaughton; his parents, Almond and Littie Peppers McNaughton; one brother, Arlen McNaughton; and one sister, Mildred Possoit.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Cader McNaughton of Olla; two sons, Kenneth Wayne McNaughton of Olla and Terry Lynn McNaughton of Monroeville, Ala.; two daughters, Charlotte Marie Underwood of Georgetown and Barbara Jean Garcia of Olla; two sisters, Velta Mae Cody of West Monroe and Jean Wall of Natchitoches; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Curtis McNaughton, Jeffery Lipscomb, Bill Martin, Chris Possoit, Richy Cody and James McNaughton.
Visitation will be at the church.
