A. L. Webster
A.L. “Big Red” Webster, 81, of Abilene and formerly of Sweetwater died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in the Northern Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center in Abilene. Private graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, in the Sweetwater Cemetery with family members officiating.
Services were under the direction of Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Mr. Webster was born on July 24, 1924, in Debolt. He worked as a truck driver for Fomby Sand and Gravel for many years before retiring. Mr. Webster was a longtime resident of Sweetwater.
Survivors include one brother, James Thomas Webster of Los Angeles, Calif. one brother-in-law, Marvin Shifflett of Colorado Springs, Colo. one niece, Linda Fornwalt and her fiance, David Bartlett, of Hawley one great-niece, Nikki Hobbs of Abilene two great-nephews, Gary Fornwalt of Abilene and James Fornwalt of Michigan two great-great-nieces, Brianna Hill and Gracie Fornwalt, both of Michigan and five great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Berry and Francis Webster, and one sister, Martha Shifflett.
