MRS. D. A. GAAR

Mrs. David A. Gaar, of Dodson, died last Wednesday. She was Miss Amanda Elizabeth Grisham, and was married to David E. Gaar in 1870. To this union was born 11 children, all of whom are living, except J. Huey and Emmett, who died in early life. Mrs. Gaar is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters: John E. Gaar, Homer; L. M. Gaar, Shreveport; J. W. Gaar, Gaar's Mills; B. E. Gaar, Gaar's Mills; W. M. Gaar, Dodson; Mrs. Della Payne, Dodson; Mrs. Maggie M. Sanders, Mrs. Luella T. Stovall, Sikes, and Miss Zella T. Gaar, Dodson.

Mrs. Gaar was a member of one of the oldest and most prominent families in this seciton [sic section] of the state. She was a sister of P. E. Grisham, of Winnfield, an aunt of O. M. Grisham of Monroe, Mack L. Branch and Joel T. Terrell, of Winnfield, Dr. J. F. Faith, of Dodson, and the late Dr. J. A. Gaar, of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Gaar was a member of the M. P. church since early childhood, also of the Order of the Eastern Star.
