Rev. Amos E. Buchan Dies Wednesday A. M. At J. R. James' Home

Rev. Amos Eugene Buchan, age 69, well known Baptist minister of this parish, died at the home of J. R. James in the Tannehill Community Wednesday morning at eight o'clock following an extended illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at ten thirty o'clock at the Welcome Home Baptist Church followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Hayes Hendrix and the Rev. Joe T. Massey, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include two brothers, G. D. Buchan, Crowville, and Joe Buchan, Route 1, Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Sina Page, Delhi, and Mrs. Josie Smith, Sikes and a host of nieces and nephews in Winn Parish.

Pallbearers were Edward Jordan, Denver Fox, Jessie Brewer, Durwood Jordan, John Jordan, and M. A. Jordan, Jr.
