Amy McDaniel Anderson

Funeral services for Mrs. Amy McDaniel Anderson, 81, of Carthage were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage. The Rev. Bruce Will and Rev. Roger Cole officiated. Interment followed in Antioch Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Jimerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Anderson died Monday, Jan. 15 at Panola General Hospital.

Born on May 2, 1914 in Panola County, she was the daughter of John A. and Mattie Twomey McDaniel. Mrs. Anderson was a life long resident of Panola County, and member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She was a housewife, and preceded in death by her husband, Coy Anderson, who died on October 21, 1990.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her three sons, Carl Campbell of Tenaha, Gene Campbell of Beckville, and Jake Campbell of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Gloria Davis of the Woods Community; one brother, J.W. McDaniel of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two sisters, Katie Garland and Annie Faye Jones, both of Carthage; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ken Jones, Andrew McDaniel, Rayburn Green, Tommy McKnight, Tiffin Stillwell, and Cecil Bettevy.

The family requests that memorials be made to Antioch Baptist Church.
