Amy James

Amy James, 75, of 3021 Fir Street, a retired Camden Naval Plant worker, died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born in Jersey (Bradley County), she was the widow of Bill T. James, whom she married in 1928 in Clark County.

She was the daughter of the late Laura Armstrong Higgason and Jefferson Webster Higgason.

Mrs. James was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Camden.

Survivors include a daughter, Laura J. Reed of Cranfield [sic Canfield], Ohio; a son, Charles F. James of Mountain Home; a sister, Mrs. C. B. Hamm of Pine Bluff; and five grandchildren.

Dr. Francis S. Chesson will officiate at services.

Arrangements will be announced by Hale-South Funeral Home.

Amy H. James

Funeral services for Amy H. James, 75, of 3021 Fir Street, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Holly Springs (Dallas County) Methodist Church, Dr. Francis Chesson officiating. Burial will be in the Old Holly Springs Cemetery by Hale-South Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Mrs. James died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
