A.J. ``Buster'' Emmons
ELECTRA, Texas - A.J. ``Buster'' Emmons, 88, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, in Electra.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Electra with the Rev. Jack T. Riley, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will
be at 2 p.m. in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mr. Emmons was born May 10, 1911, in Wise County, Texas. He and Bertha Emmons were married Nov. 12, 1929, in Hall County, Texas.
She died in 1991. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He retired from the State of Texas Highway Department. He had lived in Electra
for eight years after moving from Clarendon, Texas. A daughter, Bobbie Whitney, died in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Heftey Duensing of Electra and Gladene LaGroce of Ruidosa, N.M.; a son, B.W. "Butch" of Conroe,
Texas; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
