A. J. Fowler

Andrew Jackson Fowler, 84, of 178 Leo St., died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday in Virginia Hall Nursing Home after a long illness.

A Shreveport resident since 1934, he was a native of Luna. Mr. Fowler was a cashier for Kansas City Southern Railroad, a member of First Methodist Church and a life member of the church's board of stewards, a member of the Methodist Church Brotherhood and Booth Masonic Lodge.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. D. L. Dykes, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Mr. Fowler is survived by a daughter, Dorotha Carter of Shreveport; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be T. S. Parker, G. B. Martin, Kenneth Miller, Jack Staggs, R. J. Fox and Bill Fowler.
