Mr. A. J. Taunton Dies At His Home Monday Night

Funeral Services at Bethlehem Primitive Church Wednesday Afternoon.

Mr. A. J. Taunton, 75 years of age, died at his home in Cross Roads community Monday night. He had been in ill health for the past three years.

Mr. Taunton was born in this county the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reeves Taunton. He was a life long resident of this community and engaged in farming interests until ill health forced him to retire a few years ago.

Funeral services were held for Mr. Taunton at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist church yesterday afternoon at four o'clock. Elder W. H. Hancock, pastor of the church officiated. He was assisted by Eld. W. H. Emerson. Interment was in Bethlehem cemetery.

Pall bearers were Messrs Howard, Eulan and Tellie Taunton, Henry Peacock, W. O. Williams and David Theus.

Mr. Taunton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Theus Taunton; three sons, Messrs Worthen, Harvey and Eulis Taunton and one daughter Mrs. Mattie Julia Peterman; one sister, Mrs. S. H. Harris; and three brothers, Messrs Dock, Gus and John F. Taunton.
