Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Lone Cherry Community Church for Mr. A. T. Allen, 81, of Bess Lake community near Rayville, who died Sunday evening.

Services were conducted by Rev. John Blow, assisted by Rev. Fred Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Harper Allen; five sons, James C., Thurman, Andy, Jr., and Willie, all of Rayville and Frank Allen of Dunn; three daughters, Mrs. Katie Smith of Rayville, Mrs. Leon Hanson of Rayville and Mrs. L. C. Alford of Carthage, Miss.; one brother, Frank Allen of Carthage, Miss.; 21 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ted Crawford, Mack Session, Henry Ferguson, Melvin Keene, Carl McGee and J. T. Burroughs.

Interemnt [sic Interment] in the Lone Cherry Cemetery followed, under the direction of the First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
