Angela Maples Stone

Services for Angela Maples Stone, 41, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Laird Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Ronald Hall and Charles Hanchey officiating.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jena, La., under the direction of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stone was born July 4, 1958, in Ferriday, La., to Joel Durwood and Geneva Ann Montpelier Maples.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gladys and Allen Montpelier and Evelyn and John Maples.

Survivors included her husband, Hardy ``Bugs'' Stone; her parents; one stepson, Joseph Paul Stone of Vidalia, La.; one sister, Deborah ``Sissy'' Byrnes of Ferriday; one niece, Lacy Byrnes of Ferriday; her father-in-law, Hardy ``Doc'' Stone Sr. of Ferriday; Donna Maples of Ferriday; and a number of cousins.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Maples, Robert Maples, Donnie Maples, Josh Mock, Bobby Maples, Lloyd Montpelier and Barry Tarver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Paul Stone, Ed McFadden Stone and Huey P. Stone.
