MRS. WEEMS IS BEING MOURNED AT AGE OF 42
Highly Respected Auburn Lady Was Laid To Rest Friday From Adams Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Angie May Havers Weems, beloved young matron of the Route 4, Summit, community, were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon from Adams Methodist Church at Auburn.
Mrs. Weems was 42. She passed away at the family home at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon, following an extended illness. She is mourned as a faithful Christian woman and a neighbor and friend of many worthy qualities.
Rev. Edward Blumer, pastor of the Auburn church, conducted last rites, with Rev. L. P. Anders, Summit Methodist pastor, assisting. Pallbearers were Messrs. Ellis Young, George Spring, David Kimble, W. D. Hawkins, Ray Parker and E. B. Gerald.
She leaves her husband, Louis Weems; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Kimble, Jackson; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Havers, Summit; a brother, Robert Havers, Summit; two sisters, Miss Ethel Havers and Mrs. Lizzie Davis, both of Summit, and other relatives.
Burial was in Adams Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge of services.
