Mrs. Ann Elizabeth McCreary (1927 - 2007)

Ann Elizabeth McCreary, 80, of Las Cruces, went to join her Lord and her beloved husband, Harry, Sunday, June 10, 2007. Ann was born on March 3rd, 1927 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to W.L. and Grace Durham, the youngest daughter of 6 children. Ann led a full and productive life, even though beset by crippling disease from an early age. She took the pain in stride and never let it conquer her. She was a loving companion to her husband Harry and raised and cared for four sons in spite of it all.

In Ann's later years, she was struck by cancer; but even then, she perservered and kept fighting to maintain the dignity and grace that marked her life. Ann is a testimate to endurance in the face of overwhelming physical adversity. Ann remained devout in her faith in the Lord throughout her life in spite of all the hardships and pains that afflicted her.

Ann is survived by her loving sons James, Michael, Daniel and his wife Betty, Casey and his wife HyeYoung, five loving grandchildren, Jonah, Anne, Michael, Harrison and Carly. She is also survived by innumerable loving relations, friends and neighbors.

Graveside services for Ann will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15th, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, officiating by Pastor Gorton Smith of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. To express condolences, please visit GrahamMortuary.com.
