BASS, ANN PRITCHARD “MERLE”
Ann Pritchard Bass went to meet her Lord at 1:58 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at her home in Bluff Creek. She was 84 and a native of Rosetta, Miss.
Visiting was at Bethany Baptist Church, Baywood, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4. Visiting resumes at the church Thursday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. James Brady and the Rev. Joe Sherwin. Interment in the Bass Family Cemetery, Bluff Creek.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Billie Gail and Wayne Mayers; four sons and three daughters-in-law, James C. and Alice Wilkes Bass, Roger Dale and Joyce Womack Bass, and Thomas “Tom” Bass, all of Clinton, and Jerry “Pete” and Debbie Lee Bass of Greensburg; two sisters, Margie Simpson of Warren, Texas, and Nettie Stelly of La Marque, Texas; a brother, Troy Brennan Pritchard of Port Neches, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Burwell Bass; her parents, Elijah Samuel and Edith Annabell Brown Pritchard; a grandson, Jerry Lynn Bass; daughter-in-law, Marie “Ree” Bass; and brothers, Clint Pritchard and Stanley Pritchard.
Pallbearers will be Lane Ashford, Cameron Bass, Aaron Musick, Joel Bass, Michael Pechon and Josh Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Price, Donald Naul, Alvin Chandler and Morris Garner.
She was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church of Baywood.
