Mrs. Ann Harper

Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Ann Walker Harper, 84, of Monroe will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel on Lamy Lane in Monroe with the Rev. John T. Mabray, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Monroe, officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mrs. Harper died Tuesday at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Harper was a retired schoolteacher. She had lived in Monroe since 1942.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Selby of Monroe; three nephews, Greg F. Selby of Longview, Wash., John T. Selby of Charlotte, S.C., Kenneth C. Selby of Sacramento, Calif.; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
