Mrs. Anna Gilliland

WEST BLOCTON -- Mrs. Anna Lou Gilliland, 86, died Thursday night at her home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Johntown Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Dailey, the Rev. Hershal Jenkins and the Rev. Billy Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Jack Lee and Sons Funeral Home of Centreville directing.

The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include six sons, Houston Gilliland of Culiman, Nathan Gilliland of Centreville, J.A. Gilliland of Centreville, Malcolm Gilliland of Bessemer, Fred Gilliland of Birmingham and Brady Gilliland of Marana, Ariz.; five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Marshall, Mrs. Rosie Owens of Centreville, Mrs. Beatrice Nelson of West Blocton, Mrs. Elmiree Snipes of Tuscaloosa and Mrs. Mary Mathews of West Blocton; one brother, James R. Blake of Montgomery; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Wilson of Woodstock; 61 grandchildren; 120 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
