Funeral service for Rebecca Boatwright Parker will be held 10 AM Monday, May 18, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smelley officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 6 PM until 8 PM and on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker, 89, of Natchitoches, La., died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La. She was a homemaker and a native of Union Parish, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kersh Parker; parents, George Washington Boatwright and Elizabeth Dean Boatwright; sisters, Fabrice Hudson and Hazel Parker; brothers, Tommy Boatwright, Buddy Boatwright, and Willie Paul Boatwright.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Sibley and husband Jerry of Campti, La. and Ruthie Prickett and husband Jerry of Deridder, La.; one son, Bobby Gene Parker and wife Donna of Hahnville, La.; seven grandchildren; Brian Parker, Chad Parker, Matthew Parker, Paula Ross, Rhonda Perry, Donna Ponder, Kayla Olliff; fourteen great grandchildren.
