New Manager At Sweetbriar

New manager of the Sweetbriar shop in Alamogordo is Mrs. Anne Butterfield, formerly of Roswell. Her assignment here is the first with the Sweetbriar shops.

For the past nine years Mrs. Butterfield has been in Roswell, before that living in Shreveport, La. In Roswell, Mrs. Butterfield ran her own business as part of the Merritt department store, being in charge of the millinery department. During the last two years she has been manager buyer of Elizabeth's Dress Shop, handling ready to wear.

An important sidelind of Mrs. Butterfield's work in Roswell and one which she hopes will prove useful in the Sweetbriar shops is her own hobby of millinery. She especially enjoys working for bridal parties and hopes to fill a gap in bridal wear here in Alamogordo.

Not only does Mrs. Butterfield make hats, she has taught many classes on the subject, completing her latest to the Roswell Women's Club the week before she moved to Alamogordo. She arrived here on June 19 and will be leaving on July 16 for Denver for the fall and winter buying.

In Roswell, Mrs. Butterfield was active in the Altrusa Club, Roswell Women's Club and the American Businesswomen's group. She has one daughter, Mrs. O. R. Daly, III, of Morgan City, La., and one granddaughter, Molly.

At the Denver marker Mrs. Butterfield will be examining the well-known Sweetbriar lines.

Presently she is living at 1301 New York where she is rooming with Mrs. Lorraine Curry.
