Mrs. Laura Stephens
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wisner Methodist church for Mrs. Laura Stephens, 78, who died at her home near Wisner Sunday. Interment was in the Stephens family cemetery.
Offficiating were the Rev. L. E. Bradford of the Winnsboro Free Methodist church, the Rev. Ira Patterson of South Central Baptist church and the Rev. James Knight, pastor of the Wisner Methodist church.
Mrs. Stephens leaves to mourn her passing her husband, D. W. Stephens of route one, Wisner; six sons, Chris, Earl and Julian Stephens of Wisner, Dewitt Stephens of Houston, Tex., Guy Stephens of Akron, Ohio, and Walter Stephens of Maplewood; a brother, A. R. Roberts of Wisner; one half-sister, Mrs. S. J. Jarrett of Gilbert; a half-brother, Luther Howell of Monroe; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were directed by Mulhearn Funeral home of Winnsboro.
